The CD820 printer and supplies collectively track ribbon consumption and notify you of an upcoming ribbon replacement.

The CD820 printer technology saves more ribbon so you can eliminate waste and reduce supplies costs. When printing with genuine Datacard monochrome panel ribbons, the printer advances the ribbon to the appropriate length needed. Datacard color panel ribbons save one complete panel set during each initialization, while Datacard monochrome ribbons can potentially double and triple the standard yield.

Combine this new technology with the CD820 printer's industry-leading print resolutions of up to 300 x 1200 dpi to reproduce fine text and bar codes as crisp and brilliant as they appear on your screen.

Enterprise quality without complexity

When a new ribbon is needed, the CD820 printer alerts you with an illuminated icon on the soft-touch display panel. The reloadable supply cartridge includes both printer ribbon and drop-in cleaning roller, and loads conveniently into the top of the printer without the need for adjustments. Simply open the printer cover, replace the print ribbon and cleaning sleeve and continue printing.

Regular cleaning operations can keep your CD820 card printer and your workday running smoothly. Datacard Group offers cleaning supplies designed specifically for maintaining your printer, helping to prevent mishandled cards, diminished image quality or damaged printheads.

All ribbons are packaged as a kit and include one adhesive cleaning sleeve and one isopropanol cleaning card. Additional cleaning supplies can be ordered separately if more frequent cleaning is required.
